Junior Research Fellowship – Controlled Growth of 2D Heterostructures and Quantum Devices | Materials Science Centre, IIT Kharagpur

Project Title: Controlled Growth of Band-Engineered Two-Dimensional Heterostructures and 2D Quantum Devices (DQD)
Sponsor: I-HUB Quantum Technology Foundation (Main Academic Building, IISER Campus, Dr. Homi Bhabha Road, Pashan, Pune 411008, India)

Compensation: Up to Rs. 37,000 per month (depending on qualifications & experience)

Qualifications Required:

  • M.Sc. in Physics, B.Tech in Engineering Physics/Electronics, or M.Tech/M.Phil in Condensed Matter Physics/Electronics, or Materials Science from a reputed institute or university.
  • Prior experience in Nanofabrication, 2D Materials, and devices is highly desirable.
  • Candidates should be selected through any one of the following:
    • National Eligibility Tests like CSIR-UGC, NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship), and GATE.
    • National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies/Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, etc.

Relevant Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Condensed Matter Physics, Electronic devices, and Optics.
  • Experience with nanofabrication, 2D materials, device fabrication, COMSOL simulation, or device modeling is a plus.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum age: 28 years
  • Relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped and female candidates

Tenure:

  • 24 months or until the termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
