About Nagaland University: Established in 1994 as a Central University by Act of Parliament, Govt. of India vide No. 35 of 1089. It has three permanent campuses at Lumami as its Headquarter, Meriema and Medziphema as campuses and a temporary campus at Dimapur. The University is comprised of Six Schools, Forty two Departments and Six UGC approved Centres. Out of these 42 Departments, 14 Departments and 4 Centres are situated at Lumami Headquarter, 11 Departments and 2 centres are in Meriema campus, 12 Departments of Agricultural Sciences are in Medziphema campus, and 5 Departments of Engineering courses are located in the temporary campus at Dimapur. Presently, four Departments, viz., Geology, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry are supported by DST-FIST programme. Botany department is supported by UGC – Special Assistance Programme.

The rules of UGC-Govt. of India in regard to Pay and Allowances, Leave Rule& Provident Fund shall be followed subject to amendments if any, on time. New entrants shall be covered by the National Pension Scheme (NPS).

Director College Development	Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade. Minimum 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor at Academic Level 11 or higher, or 8 years at Academic Level 12 or higher, including experience in educational administration. For Teaching Post	The minimum educational qualifications, experience, and publications for various teaching posts must follow the guidelines set by UGC Regulations 2018, NCTE Regulations 2014, AICTE Regulations, or ICAR Guidelines, as updated from time to time. The “UGC Approved List of Journals” has been replaced by the “UGC-CARE Reference List of Quality Journals” as of 14.06.2019. Any research publications from this date onwards must be in journals listed in the “UGC-CARE Reference List of Quality Journals” where applicable.
