Eligibility and Educational Qualification

Only regular employees working in the Engineering Department of East Central Railway are eligible to apply. Clerical employees are not eligible. Employees working in the same Grade Pay of ₹4,600 or Pay Level 7 can apply. If suitable candidates in Level 7 are unavailable, those in Grade Pay ₹4,200 or Pay Level 6 may be considered, provided they have completed at least two years of regular service. Financial upgradation under MACP will not be treated as substantive grade for eligibility. Previous instructors can apply only after one year from leaving the training centre.

Salary and Pay Scale

The selected candidates will receive a salary as per the following details:

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of an objective written examination and a classroom lecture trial. Candidates must obtain at least 60% marks to qualify.

1. Objective written examination through Computer-Based Test (75 marks)
2. Classroom lecture trial (25 marks)
