About TSPSC
The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) is an organization established under the Constitution of India to recruit candidates for civil service positions in Telangana, based on merit and reservation policies.
As a Constitutional Body formed under Article 315, TGPSC ensures the effective functioning of the Telangana government by providing qualified candidates for various government roles. It also advises on service-related matters such as the formulation of recruitment rules, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
TGPSC was established on June 2, 2014, following the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, which split the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission into APPSC and TSPSC. The commission’s official website was launched on April 11, 2015, by Governor E. S. L. Narasimhan. Ghanta Chakrapani, a professor at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, was appointed as the first chairman. The current chairman is Dr. Mahinder Reddy, IPS (Retd), and Dr. E. Naveen Nicolas, IAS, serves as the secretary.
