NCERT Teacher Recruitment 2024: National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an apex organization for Educational Research, Teacher Training and Development of Curriculum and Instructional material in school education, invites online applications for filling up 123 various academic positions under direct recruitment in NCERT, New Delhi and at its constituent units located at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru and Shillong.

It is hereby informed that the last date of Online Registration and apply online of Advt. No. 174/2024 has been extended up to 27.08.2024 (Up to 05:00 P.M.).

Eligibility for NCERT Teacher Recruitment 2024

Post Eligibility
Professor

Option A: An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the relevant field and high-quality published work. Must have at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations-2018. Minimum ten years of teaching experience at the university/college level as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, or equivalent research experience at a University/National Level Institution, with evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates. OR Option B: An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in relevant disciplines from academic institutions or industry (not covered under Option A). Must have made significant contributions to knowledge in the relevant field, supported by documentary evidence, with a minimum of ten years’ experience.

Associate Professor

Good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline. Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade). Minimum eight years of experience in teaching and/or research at a university, college, accredited research institution, or industry, equivalent to an Assistant Professor. At least seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a research score of 75 as per UGC Regulations-2018.

Assistant Professor

Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant subject from an Indian university, or a recognized foreign university. Additionally, you should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar accredited test like SLET/SET. Alternatively, if you have obtained a Ph.D. degree as per the UGC regulations of 2009 or 2016, you are exempt from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.

Assistant Librarian

Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, Documentation Science, or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade where grading system is used). You should have a consistently good academic record and knowledge of library computerization. Additionally, you must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or a similar accredited test like SLET/SET. Alternatively, if you have obtained a Ph.D. degree as per the UGC regulations of 2009 or 2016, you are exempt from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.

NCERT Professor Selection Process

An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years’ experience.

NCERT Associate Professor Selection Process

A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2. (Refer UGC Regulations-2018 amended from time to time).

NCERT Assistant Professor Selection Process

The Academic score as specified in Appendix II (Table 3A) for Universities, and Appendix II (Table 3B) for Colleges, shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.(Refer UGC Regulations-2018 amended from time to time).

NCERT Assistant Librarian Selection Process

NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for candidates in such Master’s Programmes for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET .(Refer UGC Regulations-2018 amended from time to time)
