Candidates must possess a Diploma in coaching from SAI NS NIS Patiala or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, participation in the Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games, or World Championship along with a certificate course in coaching is acceptable. Dronacharya Awardees are also eligible.
