Eligibility and Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject of Agriculture with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of 6.50 on a 10.0 scale. Additionally, candidates with a Master’s degree must have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the relevant discipline. A publication in a refereed journal related to the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) is also required. Ph.D. holders are exempt from the NET requirement if their Ph.D. included coursework as prescribed by the UGC Regulation 2009, along with at least two full-length publications with a NAAS rating of not less than 4. Candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered as part-time teachers on a temporary basis, subject to approval.
