Reservation Policy & Encouragement for Women Candidates
IIT Delhi follows the CEI (RTC) Act (2019) and RPwD Act (2016) guidelines for reservations in SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS categories and benchmark disabilities. The reservation percentages are: SC-15%; ST-7.5%; OBC(NCL)-27%; EWS-10%; PwBD-4%. Women candidates are highly encouraged to apply. Foreign nationals are also eligible and will be appointed on a contract basis initially for 5 years, which can be renewed.

Ph.D., with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree. Specialization in the appropriate area/branch with a strong academic record. Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality education are essential. Specific qualifications and specialization areas are available in Annexure-1.
Experience
Minimum of 6 years of Teaching/Research/Industrial experience, with at least 3 years at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent in IITs or similar institutes of national importance or at an equivalent level in any other recognized institution.
B. Professor
