Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation and +2 from any recognized board/institution within Himachal Pradesh.
- Bonafide Himachalis are exempted from this condition.
- Age Limit (As on 01-01-2024):
- General/EWS: 18 to 26 years
- SC/ST/OBC/Ward of ExSM: 18 to 28 years
- Home Guards (Gen./OBC/EWS): 18 to 29 years
- Home Guards (SC/ST): 18 to 29 years
- Note: One-year relaxation in the upper age limit has been provided by the Himachal Pradesh Government as a one-time relaxation.
- Physical Standards:
- Height: 5’6” for General, OBC, EWS; 5’4” for SC/ST categories.
- Chest: 31” (expanded to 32”) for General, OBC, EWS; 29” (expanded to 30”) for SC/ST categories.
Selection Process
The recruitment process will consist of the following stages:
- Physical Test:
- Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Police Department.
- Minimum physical standards as outlined in the eligibility criteria are required.
- Written Test:
- Objective Type: Two hours, 90 marks with negative marking for wrong answers.
- The question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi).
- Questions will be based on the +2 syllabus.
- Evaluation & Document Verification:
