Professor
- PhD with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a consistent and very good academic record.
- Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with a minimum of 15 research publications in Scopus indexed journals and a total research score of 120.
- Minimum 10 years post-PhD teaching experience, with at least 4 years as Associate Professor or equivalent.
- Age limit: 50 years (preferable)
- Academic Pay Level 14 of 7th CPC
Associate Professor
- PhD with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a consistent and very good academic record.
- Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with a minimum of 10 research publications in Scopus indexed journals and a total research score of 75.
- Minimum 8 years post-PhD teaching experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
- Age limit: 45 years (preferable)
- Academic Pay Level 13A of 7th CPC
Assistant Professor
- PhD with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a consistent and very good academic record.
- Age limit: 35 years (preferable)
- Academic Pay Level 10 of 7th CPC
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Education qualifications from IITs/ IISc Bangalore/ IIMs /IISERs / top 50 NIRF 2020 or top 500 QS /THE World University Ranking Institute/ University.
- Experience in institution building and active participation in institutional initiatives and student affairs.
- Experience with various teaching pedagogies, including online teaching.
- Proficiency in the use of technology in teaching and professional work.
- Experience working with global partner universities and international faculty on joint projects and research.
- Experience in projects and collaboration with industry partners.
- Execution of projects with research grants from DST, CSIR, etc.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting committee evaluates candidates’ suitability.
- Recommended candidates are called for a seminar and interaction.
- Seminar and interaction are conducted.
- Recommendation letters are sought from referees of shortlisted candidates.
- Final shortlist is prepared based on applications, faculty input, seminar, interaction, and referee comments.
- Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview.
- The Selection Committee conducts the interview.
- Selected candidates are offered positions on approval from the competent authority.
