Application Process in Ph.D Central University of South Bihar
Candidates must apply through the online SAMARTH portal at https://cusbadm.samarth.edu.in by 17th November 2024. Upload the required documents, pay the application fee (Rs. 800 for General/OBC/EWS; Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PwD), and retain a copy of the application for the interview.
Selection and Eligibility in CUSB
Admission will be based on UGC-NET scores in three categories, with those holding JRF given priority. For Category 2 and 3 applicants, 70% weightage will be given to test scores and 30% to the interview.

Eligibility Criteria
Admission is available under three categories based on UGC-NET scores:
- Category 1: Candidates with JRF are eligible for Ph.D. admission, JRF, and Assistant Professor positions.
- Category 2: Candidates eligible for Assistant Professor roles are also eligible for Ph.D. admission.
- Category 3: Candidates only eligible for Ph.D. admission.
For Category 2 and 3 candidates, qualifying scores in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR or similar exams are necessary. Note that candidates with only NET scores before 2024 are not eligible. The eligibility requirements for each Ph.D. program are outlined on the SAMARTH portal.
